2) Data we collect

We collect only what is needed to operate, secure, and improve RikoLearn:

• Account information: email, user ID, display name, and sign-in provider if you create/sign in to an account.
• Learning data: quiz/exam scores, progress, bookmarks, selected subjects, saved preferences, study reminders, and local performance information.
• AI feature data: questions you type, selected text/content, subject/topic context, scanned question/OCR content where used, and AI responses.
• Purchase data: subscription status and entitlement information. Payment details are handled by the app stores.
• Diagnostics: crash logs, error reports, app version, device/app information, and performance data.
• Advertising data: ad identifiers and basic device/ad interaction signals where ads are enabled.

3) Data we do not collect

• Contacts, SMS, or call logs.
• Precise GPS location.
• Microphone recordings.
• Banking/card details handled outside app store billing.
• Photos/files from device storage except where a user intentionally scans or submits a question for AI help.

4) Why we use data

• Provide learning content, accounts, bookmarks, progress tracking, and study tools.
• Generate Riko AI educational responses.
• Manage subscriptions, trials, entitlement access, and restore purchases.
• Show ads to free users and measure ad performance.
• Improve performance, fix crashes, prevent abuse/fraud, and protect the service.
• Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.

5) Riko AI features

RikoLearn includes AI-powered learning features such as Riko AI Tutor, calculator explanations, quiz explanations, periodic table help, PDF/textbook support, and past-paper solving.

When you use Riko AI, your prompt, selected learning content, subject/topic information, scanned question/OCR content where used, and generated response may be processed through our secure backend and AI service provider to generate an educational answer.

We do not sell AI questions or responses, and we do not use AI interactions for advertising.

6) Ads and tracking

RikoLearn may display ads using Google AdMob/Google Mobile Ads for free users. Ad providers may process advertising ID, IP address for approximate location, device information, ad impressions, clicks, and diagnostics.

Premium and active trial users may receive an ad-free app experience where supported by the app.

7) Videos and media

RikoLearn may show educational videos through YouTube or other media providers. These providers may process IP address, device information, playback activity, and diagnostics to deliver video, prevent abuse, and measure performance.

8) Offline storage

RikoLearn stores certain content and settings locally on your device, including cached learning resources, bookmarks, preferences, local progress, and reading state. This supports offline study and faster loading.

10) Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Account-associated learning data can be deleted after a valid deletion request, except where limited retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or compliance reasons.

11) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted transmission where supported. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12) Children and students

RikoLearn is intended for high school learners and general educational use. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information that should be deleted, contact us using the details below.

13) Your choices

• You can stop further data collection by uninstalling the app.
• You can limit ad personalization from your device or Google settings.
• You can avoid entering personal or sensitive information into Riko AI prompts.
• You may request access, correction, or deletion of account-associated data where applicable.
